But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. II Timothy 3:13
I am sure that you folks in our webfamily from over the years do NOT need me to point things out in Hebrews, James, I II Peter, I II III John, Jude along with Acts 1-8 and Gospels. As you read, I would hope that you would recognize a lot of what you have heard before you wised up with Paul and learned how to rightly divide the word of truth!
I do believe that we are to ‘follow’ Paul’s books but read all from Genesis to Revelation. Just always remember that Paul’s books are TO us and the rest of the Bible is there FOR us.
But I am still going to try to include some of the chapters in those books and highlight some of the things I either heard preached or even preached myself in my pre-Paul years. I am basically doing this for myself, as that has been the purpose for my website – to pass on what I learn. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
If any modern Christian were to look into these notes, they would recognize the same stuff they are hearing today from their own pastor. Maybe this would help them realize they are being deceived by evil seducing men preaching from
1) the ‘wrong’ Bible
2) the wrong dispensation as they themselves are deceived by their bible education and seminary time, etc.
They are Bible correctors; they reject the inspired and preserved words of the Lord. Read I Timothy 6:4,5 to read what God thinks of them, no matter how nice and loving they are! He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
Within this page, you will find examples in the specific book / chapter listed below. I will try to get a few in there asap and then a few more over the next few weeks. But don’t wait for me… you can read them for yourself and as I am sure you can find your own examples!
Pre-Read Instructions: Remember, these books were all written BP - Before Paul. With the exception of Hebrews, which has to be what Paul said to the Jews in the synagogue in Acts 9:20. That message to the Jews in the synagogue was the same message that the apostles were told to believe and 'pass it around' - and that was the simple message that Christ is the Son of God.
The rest of these books listed here were all written BEFORE Paul. Had the Jews accepted Peter and Stephen's messages, there would have been no need for Paul and his books.
So, when you read James through Jude, remember - it is all TO the Jews. There is nothing there that we are supposed to 'follow' or 'do,' etc. Keep that in mind - and then because Christ had to go Paul in order to reach out to the Gentiles, and because the books Hebrews to Jude are at the end of the Bible, those are what I call Tribulation books.
So, as you read them, picture the coming Tribulation. That will be the stuff that will need to be preached during the great tribulation - along with Revelation, one can see all that one needs to see and understand about the future of the Jews and any Gentiles who want to 'try' to get included.
If you can do that, you will see why I said all that I said in Part III of Peace, Joy and Understanding. We should be so thankful we are part of the 'dispensation of the grace of God' along with being thankful that we experience the 'goodness of God' and not the 'severity of God.'
Remember: As you read these books and comments, THINK TRIBULATION! Get that mindset established and these will all make complete sense. These books are written FOR you but are not written TO you - unless you want to go through the time of the great tribulation. If that is the case, then these books will be TO you during that time. However, it will be rare that you can find a King James Bible during that time. (see Amos 8:11-13)
