Chapters 1 - 6
1:6-9 - Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. Today, we can choose to have the King James Bible in our mouth - IF we read it - and learn from it - and memorize it. We can know what to say when it needs to be said!
In many verses: Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me... The only way the word of the Risen Lord will come to anyone today is through Paul in the King James Bible - in spite of all the 'love' and 'miracles' and 'good words' and 'fair speeches' from the pulpits, books, movies, etc. today - if anyone wants to hear the word of the Lord, they must seek it from within the King James 1611 Bible.
1:19 - And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee. I am sure you folks know how hard people fight against you - and that KJB - and Paul - and rightly dividing - your position on the church, etc. And I am also aware of how often we feel like they are prevailing against us. But in the end? We will prevail! In fact, Paul tells us that we have already been delivered in so many ways - so yes, we shall prevail!
2:8 - The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Priests then are same as pastor today - and they handle the great commission false gospel, etc. know not the Lord. They are preaching a message the devil would happy to bless physically... and to get their people to live a 'walk' that does them no good other than to feed their flesh or their false conceited spirituality - See Romans 11:25.
2:11 - Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. When the pulpits of America changed their preaching from the obvious Paul writings of the living God back to the Gospels and took on the Great Commission, basically going to a pentecostal theology, etc. they basically 'changed' to yet no gods. Thus, the glory that the Christians claim today for a glory that means nothing to God - the Christian 'glory' today will just burn with them... their sins will not be imputed to Christ, thus they will still be dead in their sins.
2:13 - For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Two evils today could easily be 1) forsaking the fountain of living waters being the King James Bible and 2) going to broken cisterns known as modern bible versions, books, etc., that can hold no water! So it is a common saying to say that the modern bibles, etc. hold no water compared to a KJB!
2:27-29 - Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us. But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah. Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD. Ah yes, the evolutionists! The mother earth lovers! The global warming bunch! The environmentalists! There ya go! When their 'end' comes, they will see that their 'god's will not be there for them!
2:33 - Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways. There is no doubt that following the risen Saviour through Paul only as our apostle will cause us to have some tough times. Unfortunately, how often do we find ourselves backing off from our 'early preaching' and 'truth' we learned from the KJB rightly divided - just so we can have our friends, etc. And as hurtful as it is, even our family tends to reject us - even just over our beliefs, let alone anything we do or don't do. So, as parents who have backed off knowing what they know to be true, their children will more than likely not truly learn what it is you have learned about truth.
3:15 - And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Well, we certainly can only find 'few' - if 'any' - pastors who preach and teach according to Paul! They may occasionally mention Paul's name - or use a few of his verses, but to find a pastor who preaches Paul ONLY? Rare!
3:21 - A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God. We see again going from the truth of a rightly divided KJB, which was common in early America, history has shown us that America's pulpits have perverted their way and have forgotten the Lord their God - the truth - the words of God... all seem to be forgotten these days.
3:25c & many other times - ... and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God. We can look at this one in a few different ways: 1) they don't even have the voice of the Lord these days in their modern versions, modern pulpits, books, etc. So in that way, they certainly can not obey the voice because they can't hear it. 2) The sincere Christian tends to grasp the doctrine of Paul but ignore the teachings from Paul on the 'manner of life' we are supposed to learn - and follow!
4:3 - ... Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. 1) Paul tells us 'be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind..." We tend to still water and grow the thorns of the world in our daily lives. 2) We often find ourselves trying to mix the ways of the world / the ways of the modern church teachings, etc. in with what we know to be truth from the Risen Saviour. Basically we need to break up our worldly ways as best as we can - because trying to sow the truth among a dirty life will only bring forth weeds.
4:22 - For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
In an age when 'Christians' think they are accomplishing something the Jews never could do, we can look to the words of Jeremiah when he told the Jews what God really thought of them. Today's so-called 'Christians' think they are finally most blessed by God! They call themselves God's chosen people today and they think they truly are walking the 'Christian walk' as written in the Beatitudes and Gospels, etc. They actually think that God blesses them because of their 'good works' today; God blesses them because they are such good 'church goers'; God blesses them because they are such great musicians and put on some of the best shows their church has ever seen; they think God blesses them because they are such good givers to pay for those fancy buildings and fountains - they give and are so blessed that they believe no sacrifice is even necessary - they give enough to keep life from being uncomfortable for themselves; God blesses them because they dress so 'modestly' (loose definition of modesty these days); God blesses them because the wife / mother is such a good leader in the home - in fact, she can even go off to work and still come home and be the wonder-woman she thinks she is; God blesses them because their kids so love to attend church so they can have their rock music sessions and wear what they want; God blesses them because they are so full of political wisdom and prophecy, etc. etc. and more etc.
However, we see what God sees by basing our thoughts and observations from Paul's writings in a KJB, and what we see is the just the opposite of what Christians today thinks. If we look at the above verse, we can say the same thing about the 'Christians' - or should I say 'religious' people in America! It is no wonder people still don't like Paul, but it is only because they have no understanding, as Jeremiah said to his people.
The word sottish can easily be said about people today. Sottish - meaning dull; stupid; senseless; doltish; very foolish. A dolt is a stupid person; a blockhead; a dull fellow; a dolt. A person stupefied by excessive drinking; an habitual drunkard. Of course we see the number of Christians drinking socially but even beyond that, they are drunk on social media, tech stuff, expensive play toys for the men as well as the boys, media entertainment, etc. People today just have to have their entertainment!
The liberal mentality is soaking in to more people than they want to admit... they truly are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. To know to do good would be to know Timothy and Titus - to have an understanding they would have to know Romans. However, they listen to profane and vain babblings - and look to Science.
Yes, Jeremiah's words, while spoken 'to' the Jews then can still be there 'for' the Gentiles today!
P.S. Dear 'saved' - Paul following - rightly dividing Christian: Even though we certainly also have our moments (many) of not walking as we should, we can rest that because of what Paul has written to us, we see that God doesn't even impute those 'wrong' things to us - and knowing our 'walk' will be judged later, and also knowing the Holy Ghost resides in us, we don't really have to try to claim Jeremiah's writings for ourselves. Keep in mind, though, we can still quench and grieve the holy Spirit in us - we can still reap what we sow, etc.
While we are off the hook ourselves, our day in 'court' is still coming. Thankfully, it will be our works being judged, not ourselves! That judgment and penalty has already been paid!

5:31a - The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so:
Today - the pastors, evangelists prophesy falsely. They bear rule by their means and constantly add to the riches of their means... and add more to their rule - and claim Hebrews 11:7 and 11:17 as their justification for their power and control. And apparently, the people love to have it so!

6:10,11a - To whom shall I speak, and give warning, the they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. There I am full of the fury of the LORD; I am weary with holding in:...
We can certainly understand how Jeremiah must have felt. People today have absolutely no delight in the word of the Lord - knowing that the KJB is the only word of the Lord, of course! But there seems to be many people today who will at least 'give ear' to any other bible version - IF that particular version says what they want it to say!
And as was Jeremiah, I am also just tired of holding it back; to say anything today seems to fall on deaf ears. But as Jeremiah continued, so must we!
I have heard so many preachers say that Jeremiah has a 'failed' ministry. On the contrary, his ministry was fulfilled exactly how God wanted it. Jeremiah did what he was supposed to to, which is more than the modern pastor / preacher today, who continue to be deceived and to deceive others with their modern bible versions and for those who are KJB Only (so they say), they continue to reject Paul ONLY!
They may have successful looking ministries, but we know that gain is NOT godliness! Thanks for telling us that Paul! Sure wish others would listen, though.

6:16 - Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Note that while Jeremiah does NOT tell us to go back to the old paths, contrary to all the bible believing preachers, we can certainly see that whatever it was that Jeremiah preached, the people simply said, "We will not walk therein."
Remind yourself and those pastors -and- those 'Christians' who believe dressing old-fashioned, etc. as they try to go back to the old paths to please God, are NOT told to do so by the risen Saviour. Christ gives us all 'new paths' to walk - and it is called the manner of life according to Paul - see II Timothy 3:10.
Read about it in Paul's books - especially in Timothy and Titus. And remember what Jeremiah's people said to him? They said "We will not walk therein!" It seems that most 'Christians' say the same thing to Paul while they have convinced themselves that they are doing fine according to the Beatitudes, etc.

6:19 - Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.
Now here is a tiny mini-sermon. First of all, we know from Paul that Jeremiah's times were the times of God's severity, no doubt. (Romans 11:22). So we see the 'fruit' of their thoughts... and those thoughts were to reject the very words of God, as spoken to them by Jeremiah!
However, today we hear the words of the Lord through Paul - AND inspired and preserved into the King James 1611 Bible. We see the grace of God today, though - even to those who reject the words of the Lord. (Romans 2:5). But when the Tribulation comes, they will pay - but it isn't evil that God is bringing down upon them - it will be His judgment on the land and the people.
Side-note. I have heard so many preachers tell people that they need to hearken unto God's words - yet they do not nor even can they tell their people what and where the words of God are located today - other than through the pastors themselves because of their education, degrees and scholarship. So what is going on today? People are not rejecting the 'law' - they are actually trying to follow the gospel law - while they really are rejecting the 'grace of God' during the dispensation of the grace of God. They despise the 'goodness of God' and would rather live under the severity of God as they follow their pastors words, not the words of the Lord!
