The False Notion of Having to "Dig Deeper" in Bible Study
I have come to realize that all those so-called 'deep studies' are nothing but holes being dug into sand by folks pretending to 'go deep.' Sure, they may find water down there, but it isn't the pure stuff! Since I have grabbed onto Paul's writings, I have found no 'purpose,' no 'need' and actually, no 'reason' to even consider going 'deep' with any of my studies. One doesn't have to go 'deep' to find the risen Saviour through Paul... simply read all the books in your Bible that start chapter one, verse one, with the word "Paul." Is that simple or what!
Near as I can tell, 'Going Deep' truthfully and simply means 'Going Away' from the KJB. They don't go deeper, they just get into something somewhere else. They go into some book 'about' something or some other text or modern version or into the Greek Grammar world or the Hebrew Language... even getting into 'church history' which all depends on what denomination wrote those history books. In fact, I see that 'going deep' actually takes people away from the simplicity that is in Christ!
Going 'deeper' seems to bring out more confusion and contradiction, anyway. Does earth revolve around the sun or does the sun revolve around the earth? How about Genesis 1:1 to 1:2 - and what does 'void' mean, etc.? How about reading about 'where your KJB came from?' How about reading the manuscript evidence about your KJB? Just make sure it is 'his' and not someone elses' because you can be sure they will be different. People are falsely convinced that they can find that historical proof these days...NOT! The preservation of the Scriptures is based on faith - and yes, we can get a decent glimpse of where it came from... but you can also find books on the KJB that prove it is NOT the preserved text. It's everywhere, man - and scholarship never has worked with truth - and it never will.
So, going deep for me simply means:
So honestly, folks - I would rather stay out of the 'deep' - there are dangerous things out there - a person can die out there physically and going deep spiritually, one can die there too! I simply don't need to test the waters. None of that deep water for me - none of that 'polluted water' for me - none of that 'revitalized flavored water' for me - none of that 'carbonated water' for me.
I just want the the pure water from heaven itself!
What does going deep mean to you? or are you with me on the beach just drinking in all the pure water or the living word, from a simple KJB... rightly divided, of course! Ephesians 5:26 ...with the washing of water by the word,
We can think of Jeremiah at this time, actually ... seems appropriate to the Gentiles this time: For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13. I do believe that verse could mean that people today have left the KJB and went deep, hewing cisterns that can hold no water!!

- For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward. II Corinthians 1:12
- But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. II Corinthians 11:3
Going 'deeper' seems to bring out more confusion and contradiction, anyway. Does earth revolve around the sun or does the sun revolve around the earth? It's everywhere, man - and scholarship never has worked with truth - and it never will.
So, going deep for me simply means:
- Reading more of my KJB and reading it more often!
- Going deep for me simply means reading at a slower pace - stopping along the way to 'meditate' - like on almost every word in that verse, at times.
- Going deep for me simply means taking notes as I read my KJB.
- Going deep for me simply means trying to actually memorize something - a mental skill that apparently I have used up at this age - or else my memory drive is filled with music notes... but I try.
- Going deep for me simply means trying to think of a verse that fits the various moments that pop up in my day 'at work/school' that scriptures appropriately explain the 'why' and 'what it really is';
- Going deep for me simply means printing off lists of verses on a particular word and reading all those verses to see where it takes me, then expanding on that subject once I get the 'direction' from that particular word study.
- Going deep for me simply means typing up what I just recently learned so that 1) I can commit it to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also... but those faithful people are getting hard to find these days. I also hear from those 'faithful' who have tried to teach it to others also, only they can't find anyone interested, either. I suppose those people who are not interested in Paul are just too busy 'going deep,' all the while thinking that Paul is too shallow!
So honestly, folks - I would rather stay out of the 'deep' - there are dangerous things out there - a person can die out there physically and going deep spiritually, one can die there too! Those Popular Political Bible Scholars and Bible-Using Futuristic Prophecy Authors and Speakers, Constitutionalists, Tea Partiers, Gappers, Centricityists, 'Biblical' Republicans, etc.
- I tell ya, with all that I have ‘heard’ over the years from all the people who spend all their time studying the actions of the government, of course thinking that America was a Christian nation at one time… and all the Constitutionalists… and the tea party'ers… and the conservatives, and the prophecy radio speakers, and especially including the bible study scholars who claim all of the 'above' titles only with their Bible attached – NONE of them ever talk about KJB or Paul… I simply toss it all out in the trash.
- It seems that everyone can figure out what is wrong about the country – and I am sure that many are correct, of course. However, NONE of them tell the truth to their readers about the KJB, even though they say things like “Back to the Bible” etc. they NEVER say which Bible.
- They base all their teachings, etc. either on 1) any bible… or 2) if they do use a KJB, they have no clue as to how to rightly divide it – and if by some rare occasion, there is a rightly divider in the bunch, he still NEVER brings it up - and even rarer of the rare, if he does bring up rightly dividing, he is a 'dispy verse picker,' not a true Paul follower.
- They wouldn’t dare – it would kill their income. Believe me, I know all about teaching KJB AND Paul together NEVER being a ‘financial success’ story!
- Just like the people 'throughout all Asia' said about Paul in Acts 19:23-29, I also DESPISE all that stuff. I don’t even just ‘read it finding the good among the bad, the salt and the pepper, the healthy food amongst the poison, etc. and all the cute sayings people say to try to justify their studies and sermons of 'all' that is out there, I literally DESPISE them and their teachings!
- That is what a true Paul follower does – and actually, you will note that in those verses, that is exactly the testimony that Paul had given to those 'religious money-makers’ around them. To me, a compromising Paul follower is not much different than the rest of them.
- Sure, we have to do our job at work, and use wisdom amongst our family and friends, etc. but I have had to draw the line for myself somewhere - I can't just go with the flow - never could and never will. If I can't draw my line somewhere that I believe would be pleasing to God, all things considered, then I guess I would have to be a greeter at Walmart - and you and I all know that I wouldn't last long there, either.

Tithing - the Easy Way Out of Giving!
Tithing - the Easy Way Out of Giving!
- As I look back over my years of sermons, preaching, teaching, commentating, talking with folks over a hamburger, etc. I believe I did not talk much about 'giving'. I did, however, teach a quick lesson in Touchet and stopped 'taking' an offering and simply placed a box in the back of the church for anyone to give as they learned and appreciated what they learned from Paul.
- The amount of money that came in was well above the past giving - well about any tithing concept.
- Before the box, I knew the folks who gave monthly, etc. were feeling uncomfortable when the plate would come around because they had to 'pass' the plate on. I could just tell they felt uncomfortable - they had 'the look.' Now the pressure was off - they could give according to Paul - or not give according to themselves and their own needs. Sometimes there were even 'surprise' checks over a thousand dollars in the box. We paid the bills - as a pastor, I was able to take care of my family better than some... and we even started the internet website with all the costs that are were attributed to that 'tech ministry' were always met.
- Unfortunately, as I got more into the 'manner of life' and away from the 'being made free', etc. fantastic doctrine, the 'giving' faded - and the website family ended up giving more than the local folks. I guess the website people had more to be thankful about in what they were learning... and they responded accordingly. That is the way true 'giving' is designed to work.
- Note the words we use, by the way, for collecting the offering... 'take an offering' ha. TAKE! Yes, it seemed that in most cases, I had to 'take' it from them because that was the norm from years past. But like I said about the box in the back, when the folks were given the opportunity to 'give' instead of having their money 'taken,' they did so cheerfully and they did so liberally.
- The question is often asked: "Do we still 'have to' tithe during the dispensation of the grace of God? After-all, if I don't tithe - or even if I don't 'give' any money because I have no 'church' in which to give it..." Or there is this one, "You know, I do my own studying - or I get my 'feeding' from the website, etc. so I really have no one to 'give to.' Besides, God isn't going to 'get me' for not giving, anyway. Right?" Well, i guess that's right, to a point, anyway.
- You still have the time coming where your works will be judged - so if you have no 'giving' work to be judged, then there won't be any 'reward' for your giving because you will have done nothing in which to be rewarded...
- Basically, and as I am sure you are aware, the tithe is 'the law' - and the only verse pastors have been able to come up with to push the offering amounts is in Malachi 3:8 - Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. That is your standard "guilt-from-the-pulpit" verse - and the only one I ever heard... and heard... and heard! But 'we' know the law has been taken care of, etc. So, with tithing not being to us because the law is not our goal anymore - giving should be according to Paul; not Peter; not Moses; not even Jesus to the Jews in the Gospels!
- As I have learned in the past years, giving according to Paul would usually be 'more' than the tithe. If the giver was short on his prosperity - yet honest about his giving, then there would be no guilt to be had. However, if one is selfish and/or not thankful towards Paul's teachings - or even lacking towards their preacher, whomever and wherever he is, according to I Thessalonians 5:12,13, then his giving wouldn't have to be a priority, either - and often it isn't these days. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. I do remember teaching that if you want to be at peace with your preacher / pastor, then do what you can to take care of him. But that was in no way referring to the other guilt-causing, pressure pushing, dollars-demanding verses pastors used from Hebrews 13:7 or 13:17. Those two verses are used by pastors almost daily in the churches today! Remember, those verses are NOT to us, they are TO the Jews... from the book of Hebrews... duh!!
- Then we have the ‘giving’ verse in Romans 12:8 - ...he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; Many folks tend to make a big deal about their giving. They either demand to know where the money goes or they fret and fuss over giving 'whatever,'m Some people give for tax purposes - which is only fair, but if one isn't giving for the right purpose, then I don't think it will last the fire. i always looked forward to the 'end of the year' for the financial blessings that would suddenly appear - but I always figured it was for the wrong reason - at least for some of the givers, anyway! Just give and be done with it!
- II Corinthians 9:7 - Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. Now if you want to get the full gist out of the situation or context, be sure to read the entire chapter, keeping in mind that those were the 'bible days of Paul' and that God still worked more directly 'to' the people physically than He does today. That is what I call having to rightly divide the books of Corinthians, too! However, it is true, that being a cheerful giver has its immediate benefits to the giver - but not the 'physical blessing' that pastors also try to put towards their people by harping on the rest of the chapter.
- I figure best single verse for giving is I Corinthians 16:1-3 - Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. The key words are 'as God hath prospered him! So, right away, you see that you give if you can, according to how God prospered you - etc. If you can't, then don't. If you can, then do! If you can give a little, then give a little. If you can give more, then give more! If you can give a lot, then give a lot. Don't design some formula or percentage. Just give according to how the risen Lord has prospered you.
- I simply tell folks, "If learning about Paul, etc. has been such a blessing to you, then give accordingly. Prospering can certainly mean more than 'income' and a 'nice house,' etc. Actually, knowing our 'stuff' was usually just purchased by us, not given to us by God, take a closer look at how GOD hath really prospered you!!! That is giving simply, by the way, and I believe it would be well above the tithe!
- The rest of the context in chapter 16, by the way, is talking about the obvious - Paul showing up (as an evangelist, remember) and not having to take a collection at that time but having the 'money' ready for him to take to those in need!
- Boy, I can't even remember an evangelist that preached rightly dividing with Paul! I have a number of stories of trying to show my visiting evangelists about rightly dividing with Paul - even to those who said they agreed with me, but then snuck (sneaked?) away in the night (that is an interesting story, by the way) - or those who claimed to rightly divide but not according to Paul but according to their 'spiritual' and 'artistic' guru. All the evangelists I know were Great Commission pushers and all the 'Gracers' were still church builders and just had to play the local church game - and not preach the whole truth and nothing but the truth! I guess none of them - and I mean NONE of them appreciated me being the "Paul Pusher" that I was - and still am. I guess I am just a 'pill' to all of them... haha

Bit's and Pieces from My Sticky Note Stack that are Piling Up On My Desk:
Bit's and Pieces from My Sticky Note Stack that are Piling Up On My Desk:
- Respect the older folks that 'Know the Lord" and are Known by the Lord - KJB - rightly dividers - Paul following aged! They 'have been through many years of 'experience'. Now they can look back and see the global agenda that has been in the making for years and years. They can see it the entertainment world of older movies, in advertising, in the home, the governments, the churches, the schools and their anti-bully programs, etc. and in their own homes. Some of us can even see the African destruction of America! In fact, ole' Abraham Lincoln was correct when he said the black culture will destroy the American culture! You sure don't hear that quote during Black History week anywhere.
- Did you know that Robert E. Lee was born on the same day as MLK? So the next time you have to 'celebrate' MLK's birthday, just do it for General Lee, instead.
- Have you ever watched how 'bored' young people (and more and more adults) are actually 'bored' with music that is simply melody? We call it 'relaxing' and 'sweet' - they call it 'boring' and 'awful'.
- Do many Christians realize that God wants to hear 'melody' - not rhythm. Rhythm feeds the flesh while melody pleases God! All the modern bibles change 'melody' in Colossians to 'music' - thus allowing 'all kinds of music' into the churches. Their modern 'worship' services are nothing but giving the devil the glory he has been seeking as he wants to be like the most High. Read about it EZ and IS.
- Most kids just want to listen to music - they have no desire to 'practice' or 'do their own' performance!
- Parents ought to check out the global agenda that is in their local school music curriculum! In the elementary curriculum and HS vocal choirs and festivals.
- I recently heard a 'black person' say to a 'white person', "We got rhythm - you white folks got no beat!" Now what if us 'white' folks talked like that to them? However, I actually could certainly expound on that statement to the satisfaction of that black person... well, at first, anyway. She wouldn't like my conclusion!
- I also heard a 'white person' (a famous one, at that), say, "We are creating a new culture in America - and we are stealing it from the black people." Although while I don't believe we are stealing it, we are allowing it to happen. Still, I really don't think he knew how close to being right he was!
- People that quietly 'tolerate' me for my beliefs are liars... I really don't know their true color.
- Global education already exists: facts - 32,000 international schools belong to this Global Accreditation Program, including 20 million students. Their publicly stated goal is 'all teach in the same way from the same curriculum.'
- The number one novelist in America is Louie L'Amour - a western writer. I wonder how many Literature curriculum teach those stories?
- Here is a phrase we can use... "I am disappointed but not surprised!"
- Not only does the young entitlement youth of today believe they have a right to everything 'free' such as a nice house, an easy job with little education and based on their own time and schedule, styled clothes if even wearing clothes at all, a nice car. However, we also see young adults go beyond their 'expecting' of insurance, they believe they have a right to good health and not die young. In fact, many don't even believe they ever will die. Hmmm - that is a common thing for all young people - until they get old and suddenly realize how fast their little vapour of life ran out of liquid!
- The 'cloud' seems to be where everything is headed!
- Do we realize that just about everything we believe in - our opinions on everything, our plans and thoughts, designs of life, etc. all revolve around our simple belief that a rightly divided King James 1611 Bible is the inspired, preserved Word of God, all of which contains ALL the words of God and is that which is perfect? That 'understanding' sure can ruin one's days of conforming with the world, eh! (Romans 12:2). If we would simply toss out our KJB, we could probably have more fun with more friends and plenty of things to do - probably even have more money with better jobs - or even 'a' job... NOT for me, though - not interested! I have given up too much now to 'go back'; Christ went through too much when He gave Himself for me to be with Him eventually and eternally and Paul stayed on earth longer than he wanted in order for me to have that understanding he so often talks about!
- Can you look back now and see the world you 'could have had' had you not gotten the grasp and truth of a rightly divided KJB? Do you regret it? I do NOT!
- Are there any ice hockey lovers out there in Scattered Christian land? If so, you would totally understand why 'life' is more like a hockey game than any other sport, isn't it! If you don't understand hockey - or never played it (floor hockey in gym class doesn't count!), you wouldn't know life and hockey compare - but I tell ya, the two really are identical!
- Do you have trouble understanding about the three elements of music: Melody, Harmony and Rhythm? Think of this - [Home / Family / Activities] would match this way: home/melody, family/harmony and activities would be rhythm! Or consider this group: You / Clothes / Doing would match this way: Yourself/melody; clothes/ harmony and doing would be your rhythm.
- Do you what has replaced No Child Left Behind Act? Common Core? No, that is way in the past. now they call it Every Child Succeeds Act. You can see what that 'really' means, right? Every Child - EVERY CHILD meaning the LGBT, transgender world, etc. They hide behind the 'special needs' kids but what they really mean is that they will be pushing the LGBT, etc. world. THEY are what the bully agenda is all about! They call me a 'genderist' now. Thanks to the NEA!
- Did you know it was John Philip Sousa, America's March King, who came up with the phrase "Canned Music". He also said that 'canned music' - the recording world of records, etc. will destroy America. He said it would take away from people doing their own music. Those were the days when every home had a piano - every company and business had a band - and people had to make their own music if they wanted music in their life.
- John Philip Sousa also said the new advertising world was a lie. "It no longer matters who has the best product but who has the best advertising gimmick!"
- Little did John Philip Sousa know but 'canned laughter' came into the TV world so the entertainment world has taught Americans what was supposed to be funny - even if it wasn't. People have learned to laugh at perversions on TV from that canned audience stuff. In fact, 'Canned applause' and the 'applause sign' used at tv studies, etc. tell people when to applaud! Those are a few of the deceitful parts of evil communications that Paul warns us about. No wonder people can't think for themselves anymore! And it is no wonder the media can tell people how to vote - even if it doesn't make sense!
- Is it no wonder that religious people let pastors tell them what to do? Is it no wonder that people let scholars tell them what they think God 'said' - while the scholars themselves have 'corrected' the KJB to over 500 modern versions? Wouldn't you think people would wise up after 500 failures?
- I suppose you could even say that Catholics have 'canned gods' when they pray to priests and saints, hoping those priests and saints would take those petitions to God. So does that make Mary their canned Savior - "Savior in a Can' sells well in religion these days!
