These are some great little spots in the Dakotas - mostly South Dakota - where a hook, minnow, red & white or a worm could bring you some great tasting 'bullheads' and 'catfish along with some perch, crappie, northern and walleye. If the fish aren't biting, then you can still enjoy your spot - usually by yourself - or in some rare but joyful cases, with your family!
Also note that many of these places may not be the greatest locations of fish, but the spot is just the right place to be at the right time... which is just about anytime (except in the winter - I never was and am still not now ever into ice fishing - I always have such a difficult time casting into that little hole!)
And of course, those egg salad sandwiches and deviled eggs taste best when you have fish and worm 'stuff' on your hands - just a little added flavor!
