...Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:4
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
Romans 2:4
Here are a few of the 'scriptural facts' about the goodness of God as told to us today that you will only read from Paul's writings in King James Bible. Many of these were sent to me by our website family folks back in 2009 - 'they' wrote this sermon!
Use these as you try to talk to people about how the severity of God is NOT the way that the risen Saviour wants us to preach and teach to people today. It is NOT the fear of God, the fear of Hell, etc. that will reach people today - it IS the goodness of God.
So, take your King James Bible and look up the following verses - and this is only a small number of verses - go ahead and add more verses! I strongly suggest you look up the following verses in YOUR own Bible. That way, you can read a few verses before and/or after and get even more understanding and joy in the goodness of God!
And by no means is this a complete study; for each topic, there are more verses available for you to locate as you study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
