Welcome: As I am now officially into my retirement years, I will continue to do what I can to keep my scattered Christians I & II sites up to date. It isn't that I don't have anything to teach, preach or say - or respond or make commentary, sermons, studies, etc., I just don't always have energy to do so.
|
- So, as you read into this site, just imagine you and me, sitting at a small table with a cup of coffee, etc. and yakking about stuff that is going on today or about what we have learned from our studies and reading.
- I am going to call my new neighborhood for my retirement years as my "Merry Heartland" because I am going to do all I can to fulfill the following verses for myself - and anyone else interested in having better days in a world of evil and deceptive religion: Proverbs 15:13 - A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance. Proverbs 15:15 - He that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast. Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.
- Maybe I could be at a booth or table simply enjoying some fellowship with a few of us 'rare' folks who love the KJB rightly divided and who enjoy the risen Saviour through Paul's teachings.
- We are ones who have come to be able to enjoy and appreciate the grace of God and at least try, with reasonable service, try to present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God - knowing, that we, as did Paul, tend to fail more than be successful at our service to the Risen Saviour. We have learned that God's grace is sufficient for us and that our strength is made perfect in our weakness.
I did try to retire twice before. At the time, I realized quickly that I just wasn't ready to retire. But now, since March 2019, I am ready - and made the decision. This one will stick. It must - I am now retired from the music teaching profession.
And another change - I am no longer working a part-time career at Crystal Bridges as an indoor protection associate - I watched over a thousand original works of American Art. The extra money was extremely helpful but since this pademic nonsense and wokeness had taken over the museum, I simply 'quit.'
While I am still only 73 at the time of this update (2023), I have come to realize that folks younger than 'us' today are sadly living a life of spiritual blindness during a time when they will not endure sound doctrine. People today, more than ever before, are heaping to themselves teachers that scratch their itching ears that are itching after their own lusts. They simply turn away their ears from the truth more than I have ever observed in past years of ministry. These people today are being turned unto fables as they give heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.
Sad to say, I have also observed that most of the church-going 'religious' folks are those who are still just getting their itching ears tickled by their OT gospel church pastor, youth leader, etc. and seem very happy in their own religion. Unfortunately, they are missing out on the 'Goodness of God' because underneath their outward happiness, they still fear the 'spanking' of God as they continue to seek those physical and earthly blessings that they they are falsely taught by their pastor.
While I still am able physically and financially, I will continue Paul's ministry, a ministry that he described as doing the work of an evangelist, and as in this case, an online evangelist. While I have had 13 years of a 'live pulpit', I have come to realize that almost all the live pulpits in America are NOT teaching the truth of the RISEN SAVIOUR as they continue to reject the apostle Paul by mixing the apostles doctrine from Matthew-John, including Acts 1-8 and Hebrews through Jude - and with a hyped-up profane and babbling view of Revelation, they completely reject Paul's doctrine as they are official members of the "Hate Paul Enough to Kill Him" conspiracy, as originally begun in Acts 23:11-15.
These aren't the times to try to "build a work" or "start a church" or even try to fix a broken local assembly.. It is a time to say what has to be said and in a manner consistent with Paul's own 'manner of life' and what the risen Saviour taught Paul to teach to us.
You ask, "What should be said today?"
It is simple - we are to teach the goodness of God; NOT the severity of God! We are not to teach the unconditional love of God that the preachers say God has for everyone - and that God 'loves' everyone... because He CAN NOT 'love' a lost person because they are still 'dead in their sins!' However, He can and will love you IF you have put your faith in His only begotten Son - then He makes you dead to sin and dead to the law.
We are to teach the Goodness of God; the Forbearance of God; the Long Suffering of God; the Kindness of God; the Faith OF Jesus Christ; the Teachings from the RISEN CHRIST... in other words, the teachings that are found ONLY FROM PAUL, not the teachings from the 12 Apostles as those were to be taught ONLY to the Jews!
Of course, we are to teach the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation as those books are all FOR us, but most importantly, we are to emphasize through preaching and teaching the Scriptures that are to us - and those are the ones from Paul - from Acts 9 - Philemon!
So come on in - sit back with a King James Bible and your favorite coffee, or beverage, etc. and keep in touch with those of us who have allowed Paul to 'enter in' encouraging us how to turn to God from idols and to serve the living and true God; and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. (See I Thessalonians 1:9,10)
Note: you are certainly welcome to use your favorite modern translation, but you will immediately notice that NONE of the modern Bibles teach what the King James Bible has taught since 1611.

PS - "You are welcome for the larger print!"
... some of us need the larger print these days more than we realize... or maybe are we even willing to admit!
